Having a pro photographer as a tour guide can be very helpful and rewarding.
My name is David Schmidlapp. I have been a downtown Manhattan photographer / resident of 40 plus years. I can show you remarkable cityscapes along with hidden urban sites and provide ample opportunities for exceptional photography. My tours are a mini workshop for anyone who wants to create better urban pictures. I’m open to helping all levels of photographers – with an emphasis on creativity over digital gimmicks. All types of cameras are welcome, from the latest DSLRs, point and shoots, cell phones and yes, good old 35mm film cameras. As we walk, I’ll talk photography, about how to compose the city and how to get your shot no matter what the conditions. I’ll also talk the city; I’m able to tell you the city’s stories with each step we make.
The calendar is open to reserve and book private tours - High Line, Grand Central Terminal, Sunset Lower Manhattan/Brooklyn Bridge, East Village and a custom tour of your choosing, Anywhere/ Anytime NYC. I also do just Walking Tours where there is more time to tour and talk about New York City. Check out my blog for a bit about me, as well as recent tales, tours and reviews. Message me through this link for my weekly 2018 scheduled groups tours where minimum numbers will apply.
